Self-hosting: what a deployment really requires
What self-hosting demands, what the Vendale deployment kit contains, and why customer-hosted production use is not yet validated.

Self-hosting means your team owns the server, updates, backups, monitoring, and incident response. Vendale has a deployment kit for technical evaluation, but no customer-owned production instance has been provisioned or validated. Confirm availability and support scope before treating it as an option.
What self-hosting actually demands
- A machine or VPS must stay awake, patched, and monitored. The CRM is only as reliable as the box it runs on.
- Backup discipline: automated snapshots, an off-machine copy, and a restore you have actually tested. The Vendale kit contains backup and restore procedures, but customer production use is not yet validated.
- Someone on the hook when a disk fills at 11pm. If your team does not want that responsibility, ask whether a managed option is actually available before assuming one exists.
When to ask about managed hosting
Managed hosting terms are not published as a customer offering today. Ask what support is available and require patching, monitoring, backups, incident response, and data exit to be stated in writing. The current desktop release does not provide self-service workspace export.
The verification either way
Before adopting any CRM, verify rather than believe: check the SHA-256 of the installer, ask where the audit log lives, and get data-retention and exit terms in writing. The current Vendale desktop release does not provide self-service workspace export.
